Big Black Holes and the Red Eclipse ~ January 19, 2000

Welcome to the first electronic Galactic Times of this new year. Here we are not even three weeks into the new year and already so much to discuss. Of course, there’s the eclipse, but that’s been eclipsed by huge astrophysical news.

Astrophysicists last week reported the discovery of three new supermassive black holes. These singularities open the door to the theory that perhaps each galaxy contains a huge black hole at its core. Back in the old days of my initial quest into black holes in San Diego in 1976 there existed only one known black hole, Cygnus X-1 in mid-Aquarius. Shortly thereafter two came to my attention, Cygnus X-3 in late Aquarius and the Super Galactic Center in early Libra. Accused of establishing astrological elitism with these “special” degrees, those not connected to those way out points rejected my early work. So, here we go. Maybe everyone will have a black hole or six in their chart. Of course they will. Now we all must learn the messages of these potent spiritual teachers.

Okay, here’s the data. NGC 821 resides at 3 Taurus 42, NGC 4697 lives at 13 Libra 26 and NGC 4473 shares space at 1 Libra 23. NGC, incidentally, stands for New General Catalog, a Virgo’s heaven listing of galactic structure in space.

It’s a bit early to suggest delineations for these black holes. But let’s observe as Jupiter crosses into Taurus and engages with NGC 821. That should help. You know, last time Jupiter passed through late Aries, three black holes late in Aries came to awareness. How ‘bout that?

Of great importance, though, is NGC 4473. This early Libra orifice aligns with the center of the Super Galaxy, the first known supermassive, located at 1 Libra 46. This is the soul mate black hole. Think you just found your soul mate? Think again, you’re soul mate’s within. Then there’s yet another supermassive, NGC 4261 at 2 Libra 8. This black hole offers the benefits of spiritual camaraderie. Regardless, the stimulation to gathering with those of like essence and quests becomes more important than ever.

Black holes represent the plunge into the abyss of life. The darkness encountered in the retreat restores a strength of spiritual self. Knowledge lives in this place. A contradiction lives in this place. Can you come to know enough to resolve the Cosmic Irony of the contradiction pulling you into its grasp at the moment? That’s the question.

Maybe this upcoming total lunar eclipse at 0 Leo 26 provides just enough motivation. By the way, reports indicate this eclipse is likely to be very red. What’s that mean? It means the atmosphere’s polluted - something which should make you see red by itself. Anyway, what is the core of primal Leo? Self reference for the benefit of understanding the confidence that can rage within when connection with spirit arises. Go though the ego. Get to the other side. The other side replaces the frailty of the ego with the unlimited strength of the urges of the soul.

Seems like these black holes came to our attention just in time. What are we worth in our own perceptions? What do we have to give? How can we find the richness of spirit within? Sounds like a good time to do some work. Find the void, enter the abyss and watch the Universe unfold.

By the way, I led a sweat lodge on New Year’s Eve in Connecticut. At midnight a coyote howled a protest to the fireworks. But he also reminded us of the ultimate trick - Y2K, what a joke. Figured out the collective fear thing yet? Good, then don’t let the alignment in May spook you.

Happy New Year
