The calendar year is more than half complete. Perhaps those concerned about getting a bonus - in the real world or cosmic archives - need to suck it up, focus their determination and give the proverbial 110% or more in what’s left of this year. Maybe this idea results from my observation of the faltering of some, the flourishing of others in the sport of baseball on the heels of the mid-season All Star Break. Though, it is not that the planets promise to play better this next half year. The players on the Team Earth shall benefit from integrating the planetary coaching signals to life’s most fervent and fecund manners who must pledge their best and beyond.
Some contend that the dwarf planets fall into the same category as asteroids and lack notable impact. This week it was announced that NASA “discovered” a batch of asteroids with a new telescope. They discovered twenty-five thousand asteroids in one batch, by the way. However, those following the relative density, gravity and mass of dwarf planet bodies in our solar system realize that the dwarf planets and the larger asteroids, in a per capita sort of way, render disproportionately strong influence when it all comes out in the wash.
Last week a comment I wrote regarding Eris was challenged. I mentioned that she was the “feared and loathed goddess of discord.” That is true. By most she is feared, unwanted, shunned and despised. However, that is not my perception of this potent planet who restakes a claim in the “good things come in small packages” axiom. Should a person use Eris, it is possible to reverse the course of any out of control, off on a tangent project of life. Perspective can be restored. A person can find a good fit for their spirit in the activities of life. Gone can be concerns or obsessions with status and success, allowing a person to find life features that bring a sense of solidness and stability - a fabulous byproduct of attending to temporary discord.
Just as astrologers found a way to make a positive and transformational life template for the energies of Pluto, these dwarf planets post singular guidelines in the locker room of life. True, some of the energies pose significant challenges to a member of Team Earth. However, with discipline, dedication and consciousness, good can come from applying the regulations with reverence and requitement.
Let’s consider each of the named, Kuiper Belt and beyond dwarf planets.
Eris - Why join something or participate in a socially defined strata that furthers none of your causes? Refuse to be excluded from the parts of life that you must advance. At the same time, there’s no need for silly status things and lining up with the lemmings to engage in activities, cliques and situations that cannot possibly enhance your life. Today as the sports world waits for Alex Rodriguez to hit his 600th home run, of which we’re not sure how many were the product of a recent rage of illegal drug use, Facebook promises to acquire member number 500 million. Be unique, singular and find ways to stand out. Innovate in your life. Though it may be statistically impossible not to fall into the archetypal bell curves that define the distribution of human behavior and consciousness, specify your personal life action bell curve to be a perfect fit to your spirit. There’s no need to do what everyone else does. “In style” things and the “cool” elements of life come and go. The commitment to one’s individual core of consciousness is never out of vogue. Should the circumstances of life exclude vital parts of your spirit or deny your creative attributes, develop dharmic Doppler to shift your sound position on the bell curve of life. With Eris, especially when sanctioned by Jupiter, all things are possible. Every single person alive on Earth will experience at least one alignment of Jupiter to Eris between now and next May. Shift is possible. Evolution is essential.
Sedna - With a bird man theme from the Pacific, this deity inspires one to take care of primary, physical world needs first, and secure your spirit later. Birds have the unique ability to be part of the Earth and to soar above it as well, acquiring additional perspectives that are unavailable while on the field of life. I have heard from a number of people that they are taking survivalistic measures for the transits immediately ahead. Of these measures building a backyard greenhouse seems the most viable. When I was a teen, we had a bomb/tornado shelter in the house. Retrospectively, objective reviews of Cold War era bomb shelters revealed they were entirely inadequate and provided a false sense of security. The big question: Where does one find real world and spiritual security? Seek those places. Foster, cultivate, nurture and harvest the real sources only.
Makemake - With a bird man theme from the Pacific, this planet encourages one to honor and propitiate to one’s personal creative spirit, balancing ceremonial reverence with the demands of life. It has been suggested that the inhabitants of Rapa Nui once deforested the island so they could use the trees to roll the Moai to perfect ceremonial locations. While some claim spending your last $5,000 on a “get rich quick” prosperity seminar is the right thing to do, is it? On the inner plane, factually declare your creative talent and gifts without embellishment. Every writer posting on the message boards of the International Movie Database Pro version claims to have written a blockbuster screenplay. When they describe the brilliant plot, readers sadly realize if a horse were this lame... well, as the former movie title sadly reported, “They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?” Idea assessment and culling precede concept development which happens before polishing, perfecting and promoting a valid inspiration. It’s work developing brilliance. No genius will tell you that... they don’t want to discourage you, after all.
As well, Makemake promotes thinking for oneself and being so clear as not to fall prey to propaganda. Propaganda succeeds because people do not fact check or cogently think about the information presented. It’s not even August and already I ‘ve received at least a half dozen of those “Mars is bigger than ever” e-mails. Mars was bigger than ever in August a number of years ago. However, never will Mars appear as large as the Moon to the naked eye without the demise of the players on Team Earth. It’s false and now the entire content is deemed a hoax. Fact check before finding the forward icon. A spoof recently raged through news sources that the Taliban had trained monkeys and baboons to use automatic rifles to shoot soldiers wearing U. S. uniforms. While a hoax, this story gained a lot of traction before being discredited. Makemake demands clear headed perception and thinking in the playoff-frenzied transit patterns of the next weeks.
Haumea - Bearing another Pacific theme, this dwarf planet honors creativity and magical invocation. To balance the Eris theme of inclusion/exclusion, she requires relationship refinement. Know who belongs in your inner circle and who does not. Share your intimate self only with those who can respond accordingly and favorably. Minimize contact with those who do not fit. These are ideas that Saturn in Libra and the other planets aligning with the soul-connection-rich Super Galactic Center clearly sanction.
Above all, Haumea goes for the creative. She demands one use the totality of one’s talents. She and her moons provide warning indicators, such as placing rainbows near storms to allow steering clear of unnecessary turbulence. But she insists that one apply the maximum energy to developing personal fecundity. She reminds everyone, the more potent you become in your skills, the stronger your presence and contribution become on Earth.
The planets mentioned above require a realistic perspective of what is required in these extraordinary times. Further, they observe what measure of spiritual cultivation works while coping with the demands of life. If it’s your job to be ascetic, that’s one thing. But if you’re not patronized by proponents or supported by a spiritual community without expectation for the tracking of your soul, it may not be your job to meditate 24/7. This does not suggest that you cannot be in consciousness 24/7. You can. Consciousness can be a part of every utterance and action in life. Creativity, clarity of intent and a sense of being on the team known as Team Earth does the trick. In these patterns there is no hiding. Pulling the covers over one’s head or sticking the head in desert sands or hiding out in a bomb shelter does nothing to avert the planetary patterns. Making the declaration and demonstrating the will to use the planetary patterns with 110% effort is consciousness. Handling real world matters with clarity, creativity and conscious attention is consciousness.
Why are all these dwarf planets so important now? Well, as Saturn enters the “let’s level the playing field” and “play nice in the sandbox” ballfield of Libra - a symmetrical field, by the way, the traditional planets suit up for hardball. Jupiter, who loves to embellish and enjoys high drama, hangs with cranky, eccentric, ingenious Uranus. Both play off the potent Pluto who sometimes encourages people to do things in the interest of evolution and transformation that make no sense in the practical world. It’s the late innings of the game of this year and transits are in full attendance. The previous innings have been played and the results recorded. What counts now is how the remainder of the contest is played.
Like scoreboard stimulated cheering, Mars now creeps up on all these bodies, encouraging everyone to get off their hands. Now, the edge of Mars evidently is felt everywhere. It was evident on the baseball field yesterday in San Diego as a player tried to kick another in the face with spiked cleats. It was evident in the restaurant as the woman threw a spiked heel shoe at the Maitre ‘d for failing to save her favorite table. It’s evident as people threaten to abuse their computer monitor when the latest security update slows the morning boot up. It’s evident in the edge of communication everywhere. But it needs to be most evident in the effort extended into the demands of the times.
No doubt the Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus-Pluto pattern perfecting its focus promises to be intense, especially if a person’s natal chart matches up with it. The one clear factor any person can hold to in this inning of transits is that of their participation. Emulate only the exceptional. Edge off. Excellence on. Play hard. Play clean. Play with an awareness that everyone else on Planet Earth is part of the same team regardless of the position they play. Step up to the plate and have an at bat for yourself.
