Why Over Why Not ~ December 29, 2005

As the New Year gets ready to roll in according to the Gregorian Calendar, Venus retrogrades. The initial suggestion rendered asks that all people be gentle with resolutions and the resolve they intend to apply to the new year. In fact, why not wait until after the first weekend of February to lock down soulfully based commitments? They’ll be easier to keep, that’s for sure, especially if adherence to the ongoing and prevailing Grand Cross dictums can be applied.

Oh, that thing again. Yep. That thing.

There are four steps to the grand cross. First, Mars in Taurus demands you focus upon those things that you ardently desire perusing and accomplishing in your life. Second, Saturn in Leo insists you think of yourself first. How can you be good for anyone else if you’re a cranky malcontent? Third, Jupiter in Scorpio demands an esoteric view of life that notes the movement of the River Styx moving beneath the firmament of the real world. He asks, how come pomegranate martinis are all the rage at holiday parties? Don’t people know the mythology? He urges that one pick the juices of libations carefully and consistent with one’s beliefs in life and with total compliance to spirit. Fourth, Neptune in Aquarius insists one’s spiritual instincts be alert enough to recognize, embrace and accept the vision desired when it first shows itself through the mist.

In this mix, it’s time to favor Jupiter. He prepares to cross the black hole ARP 220 (13 Scorpio 47, 2000.0), the brightest object in our local group. “Figure that one out,” he challenges. “How can a black hole be black and bright at the same time?” If you study the astronomy, it works perfectly. But Jupiter also crosses the mid point in the axis of the Galactic and Super-Galactic Centers, nearly smack dab in the middle of Scorpio. This point demands use of conscious, affirmative principles instead of second guessing, hedging bets or betting against oneself.

I just completed the rough cut for a post on mediavillage.com that astrologically considers the success of Aquarian Heather Graham’s new show, “Emily’s Reasons Why Not.” This show derives its concept from the novel of the same name. That novel’s title refers to a list of rejection criteria provided to a relationship challenged woman by her therapist. Here’s why you don’t get involved the list observes. “Fine. But, now flip it,” Jupiter insists. That rejection criterion fails under the auspices of the Galactic/Super-Galactic Center contacts. The rejection criterion applies reverse magic. Figure out what you want, what to believe to get it, what to affirm in action and how to accept the good stuff you tell your Creator you live and long to experience. When it’s all said and done, accept it.

One cannot complain about sitting in a blizzard if they affirmed they did not want a rainy day on the day of a special outing. The list of rejection criteria must be all inclusive, well thought to completion and cognizant of the infinite realm of undesirable options. That’s hard work and requires more smarts than most monads (an old Alice Bailey term) on planet Earth can apply. Truly, it demands infinite insight - a challenge for even the best of the illuminated.

Speaking of illuminated, let’s go back to the black place that’s bright. Why not be bright as this new year begins? Know what you’ve got to offer and start putting it out there. Hesitation is for the timid and those who believe they’ll live forever. Those who know it’s all about today create more direct, positive magic than those who believe in tomorrow. And so says the gospel of the galactic-super galactic axis.
