Haumea and Eris Get Personal ~ 23 Aug 2010

First, my apologies. I had intended to get this Galactic Times out yesterday to be more aligned with this week’s theme, but a monsoon storm blew out the master modem and my Internet/e-mail took time to repair. Anyway...

The last of the mid year cardinal planet crisis cleared late last week as Jupiter and Pluto inched out of a retrograde square with one another. While Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto have patterns to complete with one another during the next seven months or so, the transits to come will not be stacked up as they were in the past six weeks. Whatever can we find to talk about now?

Yesterday and today we ride Venus and Mars lining up with Haumea. Next Sunday and Monday Venus and Mars oppose Eris. Yes, these transits involving Venus and Mars are to the distant dwarf planets, which many astrologers choose to disregard despite their potency. But here and now, these two personal planets intend to punch up the personal importance of the energies of Haumea and Eris.

When together, Venus and Mars run spicy and sultry. They tender the flint of life to create a stream of sparks that promise to catch ideas on fire and apply fervent action behind them. So, is there an ideal application for this energy other than the kind of stuff that wins an R or NC-13 rating for movies? Yes, put your creative resources and the best you have to offer into sowing the best of your spirit. Work only with those things that “grow corn,” or serve a purposeful cause and produce positive results. There’s no need to spin a scathing post intending to change the ways or thinking of some commenting reader about an online story about the global financial future, location of a mosque/church, ending a war or any other topic. The same applies for someone who just slammed unpleasant on your social networking site. First, you won’t change the mind of the individual commenting. Second, with Venus and Mars, you’d be better served to steer the energy into something that serves a meritable result. Otherwise an online onslaught of wasted electrons results, leaving all who witness the exchange unsettled and searching for a psychic oasis that can calm the upset.

Add the dwarf planets Haumea and Eris to the lingering stroll between Venus and Mars and there are definitely positive steering mechanisms for actions applied to the heart’s desires.

Haumea offers more fecundity as any known body in the solar system. A master at manifestation, this Hawaiian-based goddess creates, conjures and can virtually bring things out of thin air. She and her lunar companions render cautions to travelers nearing storms. Her providence and ability to provide the means required for creative ventures often soar beyond known bounds. Applying the essence of Haumea not only dusts off stale ideas and sets new ones in the light of day, with her Leo Node and Aries perihelion, she renders the confidence and courage to pursue unknown destinations.

The passage of Venus and Mars to Haumea, still in effect, and ripe for three days deserves a chance. Examine any personal projects, ideas, innovations etc. etc. that you found repeatedly rippling through your brain of late and get some active, hands on, “make this happen” energy behind them. If you wait much longer, the ripe ideas might wither and wane.

As this week ends, Venus and Mars line up on the opposite side of Eris, goddess of discord. Before you assign an “uh-oh,” read on. Since the orbital era of Eris exceeds the length of that of Pluto, theoretically her agenda is that of following a transformational process with recreation, renovation and regeneration stacked on top of evolutions completed. Being the goddess of discord, she works with you to sort out what aspects of life actually create discord instead of an existence that rings true with your spirit, and works with you to find ways to eliminate such discord from your life.

True, with Eris, the issue of being excluded tops her grievances list. But consider the axis of inclusion to exclusion. Why aspire for inclusion in activities, niches, clubs that eat up your time and render no favorable outcome? Why aspire to part of the in-crowd if you don’t really care for all that goes with it? Why join a country club if you despise golf? Why buy season tickets for a sport you could give two hoots about seeing? Ultimately with her Taurus node and Libran perihelion, she aspires to eliminate any attachments a person may have to status, success and people, place and things that echo status and success and serve no support to soulful quests. She inspires a person to find a niche that renders nirvana instead of a life style that causes stress.

Reset where you belong. The nature of discord comes from trying to fit in places that do not serve your spirit. As Groucho Marx once commented, He wouldn’t belong to any club that would have him. Eris demands an internal investigation of why you aspire to line up with elements of life that you seek. She insists upon a contrast of that motive with social standards, learned behavior and expectations of individuals in positions of perceived authority in your life whom you attempt to please. She reminds you that the only person to please is you. Eris demands that one seek a lifestyle, career, relationship and causes that suit one’s spirit-rich nature.

This all takes us back to the persistent Venus-Mars conjunction in progress. Before throwing words or ideas against the proverbial wall to see what sticks, use Mars to dive inside and reacquaint your confidence locker with all the attributes and assets that comprise your nature, talents and being. Sort out any internal conflict between needs and wants. Get excited about what you have to offer. Ramp up your enthusiasm. Spin a focused tale about what you want to do and why. Then, add Mars into the mix again. Mars bursts forth from the starting block, taking the first bold steps to support your revisited, Erissian purged perception of life style and apply the wide range of creative nuggets unearthed in your recent visitation with the ever so fecund, Haumea.
