Giant Goals From Dwarf Planets ~ 21 December 2008

The holidays are in full swing. Who has time for e-zines, blogs and such? Most folks are way busy with present lists, lists of holiday dinner necessities and an ever growing list of required resolutions. Oh those resolutions. Astrologers will tell you to set them on your solar return (birthday) and not to launch them during retrogrades. Whatever.

To keep it short and simple this week, I thought maybe a list of objectives and goals courtesy of the dwarf, but potent planets in our solar system might fill in a few blanks. These planets are not given nearly enough credence and could use a little holiday attention and cheer. Maybe they’ll provide that extra little morsel of insight that does the trick.

Ceres

Due to retrograde motion, Ceres lingers in Virgo until early August. Then, she’ll scurry through a series of signs including Libra, Scorpio and inching past the tip of the arrow of Sagittarius.

I vow to defend my rights when oppressed. I choose to invoke fecundity as an expression of my spirit and I intend to reap and harvest all the benefits of my choices, skills and consciousness.

Pluto-Charon

Now embedded in Capricorn, the Pluto-Charon system forges deeper into matters of materialism, practicality and energy efficiency.

Energy is everything. I honor my essence, my energy and my effort. Knowing that every act is sacred, I shall preserve my being and actions for those causes that serve my evolution and re-enforce my contribution to this planet as a result of my existence.

Eris

Enduring in her lengthy stint in Aries where she dedicates 22% of her orbital attention, Eris continues to press her agenda of “me first” self-affirming behavior and consciousness.

I choose to be included in all the activities that suit me. I actively pursue those things that provide me with a quality of life worth living. I include all persons who share my aspirations and greatest visions. I shall assume the captaincy for the events in my life. Everything I do I engage because I choose to and it suits my ever-evolving nature.

Sedna

Continuing her journey in Taurus, Sedna continues to explore what matters and what does not. She’s clear about one thing: For every creature alive, sustenance and shelter rank as number one, no matter what one declares as a result of whatever self realization quest.

I honor my body and what I choose to put in it. I choose environments, situations and circumstances that suit my nature and match my sense of purpose. I shun idle praise and seek out those who know how to engage my spirit and in return I seek to engage their spirits.

Haumea

The most recently named of the dwarf planets, who travels with two moons and an entourage of large icy particles once part of her being, now reaches nearly halfway through Libra.

I shall allow my visions, ideas and creativity to spread over the lands. I carry with me and share with those who uphold such visions and engage life with the fullness of their beings. I put forth my energy and essence as a beacon to those who may benefit from my experience, knowing and wisdom. I recreate opportunities “lost” from the seeds of my consciousness and each day breathe life into every act I engage. I function only from the core of my being.

Makemake

The first planet named for a Southern Hemisphere deity, Makemake crosses by point by point through Virgo.

I say what I must and am guided to say with clarity, inspiration and objectiveness. Constantly I review my views and positions, making them crisper and focused upon my dharma. I take on option-oriented approaches and fully believe in honoring each step of the way as another brick laid in the path of life. Discipline and dedication become my allies as I place my ideas into action. Each and every day I celebrate effort and the awareness stemming from my experiences.

However you celebrate the season, Happy Holidays. May sensibility and consciousness prevail on our planet. May joy and celebration fill our lives.
