Lucky Stars ~ 6 July 2007

You feeling lucky? Internet articles abound delineating the likely luck of Saturday, July 7, 2007 or 7/7/7. In my mind though, it’s still 7/7/2007, which doesn’t add up to be quite the same. Using the logic of the articles filling cyberspace, I’m also inclined to think that July 7, 7 B.C. and July 7, 7 A.D. would be luckier... but dang, odds are no one knew what day it was on either of those lucky occasions.

Still, articles seem to encourage people to invoke their lucky stars despite Mercury retrograde. Is that really okay? Sure it is. Especially if a person enjoys some other more powerful transit such as Jupiter, who now travels aligned with the Trans-Neptunian Object, Ixion. More on that in a few sentences. I am wondering what astrologer, if any, encouraged the release of the iPhone during Mercury retrograde. So many orders tried to fit in a small space of time the computers couldn’t keep up. My personal Internet provider has been intermittent at best since last Monday. Hopefully, this Galactic Times will manage to make it out on the time I’ve assessed to be personally lucky. And lucky Scooter Libby, eh? The former aide to the United States Vice President had his jail time commuted by the President during this cycle. We’ll have to see if there’s any other Mercury retrograde backlash to that or if will play out later in sequential Mercury steps with a full-blown pardon once the initial reactions fade.

There’s a funny, ironic metaphor in the commuted sentence, given Jupiter aligning with Ixion, both bodies passing by the Great Attractor. Ixion, sparing the gruesome mythology, had a second chance and a pardon granted him by none other than Zeus/Jupiter. Ixion enjoyed the pleasures of Mount Olympus and a major cleansing by the master healers there, only to enjoy the pleasures too much and blow the second chance, causing redemption to no longer be an option. Thus, a major component of the luck issue prevailing: when given a second chance, learn from the past and do things anew. Sounds easy.

Maybe it would be easy for everyone if a few lucky star influences were applied and second chances grasped over the next several days. First, about that pesky Mercury retrograde gizmo. If you have a system for assessing luck or fate or when to pitch and play in accord with the law of attraction, allow for pure instinct to enter the mix. A lucky guess might lie ahead in the next moments. The Great Attractor, with whom both forgiving and gracious Jupiter and the “let’s get it right this time,” Ixion now engage, bends light so much that it’s possible to see behind it. No hidden hands behind the back. No concealed agendas.

Within the past twenty-four hours, the Sun made its annual intersection with the degree of the brightest night time star, Sirius. This Cancerian illuminary offers simple messages. Make important decisions only when well fortified and clear emotional backlog before attempting to come to conclusions about choices to make. The fork in the road can hardly be use for culinary consciousness should negative memory, fears and/or expectations offer resistance or shading. Whatever you do to reset emotional circuit breakers do that before heading to your local 7-7-7 promising casino or embarking upon what would appear to be a fortuitous path in life.

On July 13th, Mars takes an opposite point in the sky from the intersection of the Galactic and Super Galactic Centers. This aspect adds energy and motivation to the principles of “The Secret.” Far more succinctly than the Secret spelled it out, use the purest parts of attraction possible. Avoid double negatives, contractions in affirmations and don’t bet against yourself. State only desired outcomes. Once that’s done, use well-stated statements of purpose and apply intentionally directed energy. That ought to finish off what you start in the next day or so.

For those wondering, Mercury does go direct on the 9th of July. Perhaps one could argue that using the next few days for creative development that sees the light of day next week might be the ideal plan. Maybe. Maybe not. That’s where pure instinct and seeing around the next bend in advance of entering a precarious curve serves an emotionally cleared body best.
