Is Saturn Madder than a Hornet? ~ 31 May 2006

First, a little accountability to suit Saturn. Yes, in the last Galactic Times I incorrectly noted the timing of the Jupiter-Saturn square. As many of you pointed out, it does occur in June. Hopefully, the correction urge did not override the information that the sequence of steps the planetary patterns outlined intended to convey. And now for the Jupiter part to keep both planets in the pattern appeased... that is, the justification or excuse. When astrologers write columns, they often fall out of synch with the time. They reach forward in time while considering transits in the interest of offering illumination. The problem is, they sometimes lose some tracking with current patterns. With that out of the way (the Star Blog posts on my site have been modified)...

Is it true? Is Saturn madder than a hornet? For fact, all people can feel the rising heat of the impending Mars-Saturn conjunction, but does that warrant the buzz? Actually, those with telescopes tracking Saturn not long after sunset would see the planet directly aligned with the “v” formation above and left of Mars, Castor and Pollux (in the northern hemisphere). This alignment also stands spot on the beehive, a dense swarm of stars residing some 600 light years distant. Saturn’s passage sets the pattern for the next couple of weeks. As Saturn hovers around the hive tonight, Mars whips by the stellar swarm on June 15th. Of course, this leads up to the “dreaded” Mars-Saturn conjunction of June 17 or 18, depending where in the world you are.

As a person who has a strong Mars to Saturn connection natally, I contend that people assign too much advance anxiety to any Mars-Saturn apparition to occur. Sure Mars suggests a person throttle up and energetically push out as far as possible, maybe beyond. Equally as sure, Saturn softly states that if a person goes too far, he’ll have no option than to pluck that person back into the realm of their personal competency. Eager people understand Saturn more clearly and appreciatively than tentative people.

Now since this pattern occurs in Leo, I’m going to go self-referential again. I find the local batting cage to be a perfect instrument for measuring my response to Mars and Saturn at any given time. I am blessed with a well-maintained batting cage kept up to professional baseball standards. I frequently wander down there in the afternoon to work off the energy of life. And I take on the very fast cage where the balls rocket toward you at somewhere between 83 and 88 miles an hour. Yep, I can hit them (not bragging, just a fact). Even if I’m tired when anxious or overly eager in life, I get around on the ball too fast. Other times, despite my excess energy, I’m always a little late on pulling the trigger. On those luscious, life yummy days I can hit solid line drives right up the middle, just as I’m intending. My point for you? Find a physical vehicle for assessing your energy reaction to the demands of life. Doesn’t matter what it is. But get to know what you have to offer in energy, talent, resource and ability so you can apply it to life competently, well intended and in harmony with the demands of the time. Saturn smiles upon those who do.

What is it when people get madder than hornets? Simply, life fails to measure up. Things that are supposed to occur slide on the time line. People fail to come through. Demands made interfere with a timely approach to one seeking out a bigger slice of the pie of life. Frustration abounds. Kind of like now. While Jupiter and Saturn inch toward their square (which happens you know when) Mars and Saturn also close the gap on coming together. Stakes are up; chips are down. Put your cards on the table. With Jupiter retrograding it probably seems like good things slip away. Maybe, but from the cosmic view, probably not. Maybe what you were seeking wasn’t full enough to fill your sails for a vast journey. Maybe it just needs refinement. Maybe it needs more from you. Maybe the Universe simply culls your life. Do your best to let those things falling away to recede from your grip naturally. Then you can look to see what else you might seek in a way that allows you to busy your hands in accord with your talents. That should please Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.

No boasting. State what you can and will do in all circumstances. Be clear what you can offer. When on track, state what you have to declare with soulful confidence. That keeps Mars and Saturn abuzz and rendering enthusiastic support. Jupiter can’t help but kick in, too.

Maybe it’ll work for you; it sometimes does for me. When I’m feeling stressed if I go shopping for something to feed my spirit it helps (I mean like a consciousness thing, not just any ole thing). Amazingly, and in accord with Mars and Saturn, the stores on an internet website like mine never close. How about that? Constant access to things that might help - there’s a Mars-Saturn image to chew upon.
