Bottom Line It ~ 25 January 2006

Many are writing and asking, “What will it mean for Pluto to cross the center of our galaxy both this year and next?” It’s a great question, but why did no one care when Saturn, Uranus and Neptune crossed that point last century? Bottom line: People seem scared of Pluto. I was watching a show the other night (I only watch TV for research on my mediavillage.com column - right, whatever you say) in which the comment was made that the truth is: the truth scares people, so they lie. Most egregious in this statement is the truth that many people fail to disclose what they feel, what they need or how they see the Universal Plan unfolding. Simply, they’re scared no one will recognize and honor their truth. Having personal truth rejected is a hell of a feeling. No matter. Pluto will take care of all of that.

The other day I had a meeting with a creative partner - a Sagittarian with her Sun on the Galactic Center. The conversation quickly evolved into how people, to use her term, pussyfoot. Yep, so it seems. We’ve got PC going out of control. We’ve got be careful you don’t offend the person next to you in Starbuck’s. Don’t bite the person next to you on the airplane (that happened yesterday) and jump off onto the tarmac. Don’t swear at the one-armed woman at the store declaring you have too many items in your shopping cart for the express lane (heard that one today). Yes, of course. There’s social consciousness that allows a person to speak bottom line truths as to avoid unnecessarily offending others into the “I can hear nothing you say” syndrome. But then there’s what you really feel.

Part of Pluto indicates you should pick the wars you choose to wage. Consider if waging war would negatively impact your spirit. Consider if refusing to defend your honor - honor here implying your spirit, emotional well being and consciousness - injures your ability to consciously function. At Christmas while flying home to see my family, the rather elite conservative senior woman sitting next to me asked me what I did for a living. When I told her I wrote and was an astrologer, she asked where my telescope was. It just wasn’t worth it. However, when she defended blind avarice and financial exploitation of those who can’t help themselves, I made a point to politely disagree. Really, that conversation didn’t matter, either.

What does matter now with Pluto to the GC is that people stand up when others elect to suppress the right of a person to hold the consciousness they do and disregard the choices they make. But let’s add other two other critical elements to the determination of consciousness. Right now the fixed cross includes the newly named, highly anomalistic, Sedna (18 Taurus 37, retrograding back to an exact opposition to Jupiter). Sedna, whose imagery includes whales, demands conscious choices. This past week a whale chose to swim up the Thames River. People decided it should be placed back in the ocean and the whale died in the process. There’s no saying if the whale would have reversed course and survived or not. But since we, as people, knew better the choice was made to remedy the whale’s choices without considering what message the whale bore. Then Greenpeace offered to remove a beached whale from the coastline of Germany. Evidently no one thought this offer through, as Greenpeace deposited the whale in front of the Japanese embassy, demanding a stop to whaling. The point? Know what matters to you. Make clear, conscious choices that supports all the things that matter, overlooking skirmishes that deal with things that do not matter. Bottom line it. As a hysterically funny aside, the term “whale tale” recently received official denotative sanction. This term refers to the trend of women wearing jeans and underwear that make plumbers pale by comparison. In honor of Sedna, I bite my fingers down to the first knuckle, resisting the urge to type out all the jokes swimming in the comedic ocean of my mind.

Back to the bottom line. Here’s the bottom line of the new planet 2003 UB313, now occupying 20 Aries 01. What do YOU (Aries) want? Can you choose between the relentless career drive and the material games of life contrasted against having emotional contentment? Can you integrate the two categories together? Can you let others know what you need? Can you let others know what makes you tick? Can you determine what your soul desires? Can you figure out what makes you tick? Bottom line it.

Should either the Sedna or UB313 agendas seem difficult, propitiate to Pluto. He likes it. He really, really does. And now his proximity to the Galactic Center, awareness goodies get handed out to propitiating pilgrims. How to make such a rendering? Well, you could set up a time every day dedicated to locating the lava flow in your energy that makes up your bottom line. You could visit active volcanoes or sit on glaciers and pray your head off. Maybe making a sauce as one of our local restaurants does with pomegranate and jalapeños could be considered an offering. In whatever moment you choose to invoke, listen to Pluto’s throbbing resonance heterodyned in the background radiation of the galactic core. When you listen, focus as to clear the mental fog so you can see the honest to god, bottom line way your nature and spirit seeks to thrive. When you see it, declare it... bottom line it.
