Fixing to Fix the Fixed Grand Cross ~ 7 Dec 2005

A special note of apology to all those receiving the Galactic Times by e-mail. My e-mail campaign manager suddenly malfunctioned and we cannot figure out why. If it does not fix up soon, I’ll be changing services rather quickly to attempt getting back on schedule. My apologies again and please continue to visit the website during this time of mild chaos for the Galactic Times. Oh, and how cool is this? Glimpses has been shipped to all who have ordered my first, odd collection of short stories.

While the oppositions of Mars to Jupiter and Saturn to Neptune have waned for the moment, things are still... well, seemingly immovable. Comments from those frustrated by the patterns range from “The Grand Cross Sucks,” “What’s so grand about it?” “People have no idea what time it is on my clock,” and “Why the hell are people so pissed all the time, dammit?” All of the above would be the correct answer. Is there a magic bullet?

There’s one highly notable detail of which I am aware and well worth being a bullet in its own list. The Sun now approaches Pluto, crossing over him in about a week, then on to the Galactic Center just days before the change of seasons. This potent transit of the Sun to the GC runs hotter than usual this year and also true over the next several years to come. It’s time for progress. New ideas must come down the galactic slippery slide, landing in the sand pit of clogged minds. Not everyone jumps on board immediately. New ideas seem scary, unfamiliar, and threatening to one’s stability. Surely as the Sun rises tomorrow, even closer to the GC than today, more new ideas promise to appear. It’s all about progress.

While the Fixed Grand Cross demands perseverance, dedication, dutiful devotion, conscious attention, rolled up sleeves, sweat and blood, two factors require ongoing attention. Is the idea, project, plan pursued in line with galactic progress? What are the odds that the cart being pushed is stacked with original, brilliant, one of a kind stuff? Becoming the competition though offering higher quality, etc, etc. fails to fulfill the greatest fantasies of life. Neptune slowly approaches the retrograding Sedna, adding quite the complexity to the current not so grand cross to bear. Sedna demands discernment, research, and she insists upon clear, conscious choices. Part of the planetary complex simplifies by envisioning what one yearns to do and longs to create. Doing things that make sense and money that people should do, falls into the category of “when this set of oppositions passes next year, you may not be happy with your choices.”

It’s also important to recognize that Venus soon retrogrades. As Mars goes direct, Venus fusses in the cosmic mirrors, turns about and softly suggests everyone ensure the efforts now pursued can actually bring you what you want. Both Venus and Mars retrograde intervals top the list for “least likely to be found in retrograde” planets. So, these times offer special levels of personal introspection to be applied with the greatest of insight.

In Arizona it’s downright cold. Despite the refreshing and rare chill in the air, every night I’ll don my jacket and check out the night sky as I am sure every cosmic person does each night. In the hours after sunset until about eight in the night both Venus and Mars stand vigilant and bright offering their part in being a holiday light rendering. Go out and check it out, whether nearly summer or winter depending upon your hemisphere of residence, it’s well worth the look see. Do your appeals. Ask Mars to straighten out courses that stray from galactic grandness. While in devotion to Venus, remember to ask her all about forming clear desires that serve soulful purposes, mundane world requirements and sort out interpersonal matters. With a couple of deep belly breaths looking in the direction of the spectacular and bright Sirius, just enough room clears inside your being to take in this holiday cheer. You’ll feel better. Then, you can tell Neptune to guide your discernment and choices so that Jupiter and Saturn establish a constructive system of checks and balances, instead of taking you to your knees when in lost galactic tracking mode. Finally, a way of standing it all.
