Scripts Ready to Roll:

Just completed... A Temporary Thing takes an Albuquerque police officer on a bizarre journey across the Land of Enchantment after his gunned down partner's spirit infuses his body. The Eye of the Storm - (Drama, R) When a meteorologist for a weather channel gets assigned to the Hurricane Hunters via her National Guard unit, her flight encounters an unusual occurrence in the eye of Hurricane Nicole, only to start her on a precarious adventure. Chock full of conspiracy and the unexplained. Be one of the first to read this exciting, inspiring script! 116 Pg.
WGA 1233938

Neon Cactus - (Drama, R) This script, in its first incarnation, was a quarterfinalist in the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship. Recently updated to convert a plot critical scene from Vietnam to Iraq, it's again good to go. This property deals with a successful, first gulf war vet dealing with residual psychic and psychological issues. To get beyond those snags, he finds himself sweltering in the Arizona heat, talking with a cactus. Once he meets the magical Eliza, a mystical hologram, his journey of transformation takes off takes him to places unknown.  “Offbeat and inspiring.” The Nicholl Fellowship, 118 Pg.
WGA 1137909

The Climax - (Thriller, R) Two highly competitive, manipulative murder mystery writers hole up in Colorado, while banging out their next blockbuster and all the while conniving to rip off the other's ideas. Sexy and psychologically rich. Strong female lead. 116 Pg.
WGA 471526

Twinks - (Drama - PG or G) When an aging, widowed baseball pitcher for the 1949 Hollywood Stars (yep, a real baseball team) adopts a spit ball, his precocious daughter and Ms. Hollywood Stars (this was Jayne Mansfield in 1955) give him the cold shoulder. With the help of Twinks, a stray ball yard cat that possesses lucky charm qualities, the hero figures out another way to stay in baseball, without as his daughter calls it - cheating. Very positive female leads. 116 Pg.
WGA 1037839

Abby - (Children's Action-Adventure, G) A precocious and gifted young girl and her Abyssinian cat apprehend an ATM bandit in Seattle. This could be shot in partial ani (ala Garfield) until the very end to work around some of those uppity cat behavior problems and the necessary wranglers. It's a warm script... children smarter than adults and a true hero's ending. 85 Pg.
WGA 527790

Two Brains Wasted -  (Romantic Comedy, R) Two sincere men really, really truly want to have honest committed relationships only to encounter a bizarre flock of contenders. This script is the “good guy” antidote to “Sideways” and “Wedding Crashers” 120 Pg.
WGA 1099744

Billie Rae - (Drama - R) A topless dancer in a grim club in El Paso, Texas wrestles with her sexual orientation, a difficult life and a relationship with a famous country and western singer. 115 Pg.
WGA # 480713

Kate - (Drama - R) An environmentally friendly (female) Everglades ranger holes up in a mud hut in the Everglades with her adversary, a rich, slick and of course hot real estate developer, to ride out a category five hurricane. With the denouement of this script, it's really suited only to be an indy film - an evocative script of redemption and reformation. Strong female lead. 114 Pg.

Scripts in progress...

NEW!! In Progress: Ghost of a Chance - How does a psychic manage to conduct a reasonable relationship when her partner expects she always knows what he's thinking? This charming romantic comedy takes a look a modern relationships with an added twist. Very quirky and hugely funny.

Development deals and Work For Hire Arrangements are always within the realm of possibility.

Documentaries

The Jewel of Bafeball's Eden - Wahconah Park - Nope, that's not a typo. That's how baseball was spelled in the late 1790's when the city elders of Pittsfield, Massachusetts wrote the first known document about baseball in America. This documentary traces the enigmatic history of Wahconah Park, Pittsfield's historic baseball field. Involved in this tale are enigmatic ballplayers (Chief Bender, Casey Stengel, Lou Gehrig, Satchel Paige, Bill Lee and more), less that brilliant city politics and PCB pollution.

I have two other baseball documentaries ideas in development, but given the surge of such films appearing on HBO, Showtime and ESPN, I'll keep these under my baseball cap for the time being.

For a television series (treatments):

Grave Concerns - (“Medium” meets “Six Feet Under”) - The adventures of a newspaper writer suddenly blessed with a clairvoyant gift while grieving at his wife’s grave.
WGA 1016210

SeaTac Express - A drama surrounding the principal partners of an international shipping company based in Seattle. Timely, insightful and thought provoking.

Nuevo, NM - ("Twin Peaks" without the murder meets "Outer Limits") This fictional town collects outcasts and weirdoes from all walks of life. The independent, quirky townsfolk create an extraordinary peek into the lives of those others might declare to be "whack jobs." And no one who passes through Nuevo emerges unchanged.

Reality TV

My creative partner, Dena Patton and I have several shows in the pitch phase. If you are a production company looking for properties to option or buy, we'll be happy to set up a pitch with you.
